Problems with 5G Crisis Web page: 5G Basics — Addressed

  • 5G stands for "Fifth Generation" – a marketing term for the next generation of wireless technology.

  • 5G will use all the frequencies currently used by 4G, and add higher frequency waves to carry additional data. "5G" is always 4G + 5G.

  • So-called "small cell" antennas will emit a constant stream of radio-frequency microwave radiation ("wireless radiation" ) 24/7/365 until turned off.

  • The U.S. government’s human exposure guidelines for wireless radiation haven’t been updated since 1996, and are designed to protect only against thermal (heating) effects, not biological effects.

  • Thousands of published, peer-reviewed studies prove that exposure to wireless radiation is harmful, increasing the risk of neurological and reproductive problems as well as cancer. Read the studies.

  • The wireless industry has admitted that it has conducted no testing of its wireless technology to determine the effects of long-term exposure on people.

  • The primary purpose of 5G is not for better phone service, or for tele-medicine, driverless cars, the Internet of Things or emergency services. It’s to allow wireless companies to compete directly with cable companies to stream video into your home. Wireless technology is not a utility.

  • American telephone customers have already paid billions for a national, fiber-optic network that would provide reliable, low-cost, secure and safe broadband internet access to every American. But instead of using the funds to build the network as they had promised, the telecoms diverted the money to build out their wireless networks, which are more profitable. Read the press release about FIBERGATE. Listen to the PODCAST.

  • “Small Cell” does not mean small, unobtrusive equipment. It means that every cell provider will hang its own antennae enclosure (up to 6 cubic feet each) on the pole, with other associated equipment (up to 28 cubic feet – the size of a large refrigerator) located nearby.

5G stands for "Fifth Generation" – the next step in the development of wireless technology 5G is a fuzzy marketing term for the next step in Wireless Telecommunications Facilities (WTFs) and devices
5G signals use millimeter and sub-millimeter waves that are easily interrupted and don’t travel as far as the microwaves used for 3G or 4G, so 5G “small cell” antennas will have to be installed in close proximity to homes and apartments. 5G is always 4G + 5G and will use frequencies from 600 MHz to 90,000 MHz (with wavelengths from 20 in. down to 0.1 in).
5G antennas will emit a constant stream of radio-frequency (RF) microwave radiation (“wireless radiation”) 24/7, 365 days a year. Antennas of Any G will emit a constant stream of radio-frequency electromagnetic microwave radiation (“RF-EMR") 24/7, until powered off
The U.S. government’s human exposure guidelines for wireless radiation haven’t been updated since 1996. At that time, they were designed to protect humans only from short-term heating (thermal) effects. The U.S. government’s maximum permissible exposure (MPE) guidelines for RF-EMR are fraudulent and unscientific. The guidelines purport to protect people only from short-term heating of tissue.
There are no studies showing that long-term exposure to 5G wireless signals is safe for people, although there are some studies showing significant harmful effects on wildlife and the environment. There is established science (over 20,000 studies) that proves that RF-EMR exposures at frequencies from 600 MHz to 100,000 MHz is hazardous to living organisms
The 1996 Telecommunications Act prohibits local authorities from regulating or prohibiting 5G installations on the basis of health concerns. 1996 Telecommunications Act 332(c)(7)(B)(iv) says: "No State or local government or instrumentality thereof may regulate the placement, construction, and modification of personal wireless service facilities on the basis of the environmental effects of radio frequency emissions to the extent that such facilities comply with the Commission’s regulations concerning such emissions."

There is no mention of health or concerns at all.

The primary purpose of 5G is not for better phone service. It’s to allow telecom companies to compete directly with cable companies to stream video into your home, and increase the capacity of “smart devices” and machine-to-machine communications – the “Internet of Things” (IOT). There is no truth to the claim that 5G is necessary for public safety. There is no truth to the Wireless Industry claim that densified 4G/5G is necessary for emergency calls which is a Title II-Regulated Telecommunications Service. The primary purpose of densified 4G/5G is to provide Title I-Unregulated Information Services for video, internet and gaming. Wireless Cos. aim to provide these Title II services by saturating the airwaves with RF-EMR in order to send/receive larger data payloads even more quickly — none of which is needed for better phone service. Wireless Cos. want to sell video subscriptions and enable the machine-to-machine communications for the “Internet of Things” (IOT).
Current cellular and WiFi networks rely on microwaves that employ frequencies up to 6 gigahertz (GHz). 5G technology utilizes millimeter and sub-millimeter waves in higher frequency ranges (between 30 GHz and 300 GHz). This technology has not been widely deployed until now, and has not been tested for safety. Current cellular and Wi-Fi networks use RF-EMR from 700 MHz to 5,800 MHz. Densified 4G+5G newtorks aim to use RF-EMR from 600 MHz to 90,000 MHz. The term millimeter waves is reserved for RF-EMR between 30,000 MHz and 300,000 MHz)..
“Small Cell” does not mean small, unobtrusive equipment. It means that every cell provider will hang its own antenna enclosure (up to 6 cubic feet each) on the pole, with other associated equipment (up to 28 cubic feet – the size of a large refrigerator) located nearby. So-called "small" Wireless Telecommunications Facilities (sWTFs) is a misnomer because the Effective Radiated Power (ERP) from sWTFs at 15-50 feet away exceeds the ERP that one receives from Macro Towers at 1500 feet away.
