Little Lies / Big Lies

I had never heard of Shiva when he approached me on the street following a January 6th, 2020 Trenton rally. We had a friendly chat and took a photo. Afterward, he tweeted that I had refused to shake his hand. A half-dozen photos of us shaking hands soon surfaced, proving his statements false. It was only then that I learned he was running as a fringe candidate for U.S. Senate against my nephew, Massachusetts Congressman Joseph Kennedy. It is axiomatic that a man who lies about small things, will also lie about the large. I made a note to fact check Shiva’s assertions. I advise others to take similar precautions.

In a few months, there’s going to be a lot more Wi-Fi to go around. The Federal Communications Commission voted today to open up a plot of spectrum in the 6 GHz band for unlicensed use — the same regulatory go-ahead that lets your router broadcast over the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. That means there are now more open airwaves — a lot more — that routers can use to broadcast Wi-Fi signals. Once the new spectrum is officially opened for business later this year, that should translate to faster, more reliable connections from the next generation of devices.

This is the largest spectrum addition since the FCC cleared the way for Wi-Fi in 1989, so it’s a huge deal. The new spectrum basically quadruples the amount of space available for routers and other devices, so it will mean a lot more bandwidth and a lot less interference for any device that can take advantage of it.

“This is the most monumental decision around Wi-Fi spectrum in its history, in the 20 years we’ve been around,” Kevin Robinson, marketing leader for the Wi-Fi Alliance, an industry-backed group that oversees the implementation of Wi-Fi, said ahead of the vote.

Devices are expected to start supporting 6GHz Wi-Fi by the end of 2020, so its implementation isn’t far away. When it arrives, expect to see it branded under the name “Wi-Fi 6E.”

A terrible new House bill that was introduced by lame duck John Shimkus (R-MI) (in exchange for a parting payment from the Telecom industry?) is just bat-shit crazy

Summary

HR.6648 counters the important Aug 9, 2019 Ruling from the DC Circuit Court of Appeals that struck down a NEPA exemption for so-called "small" Wireless Telecommunications Facilities (sWTFs) in Case No. 18-1129 — Keetowah et. al v. FCC.

This Wireless industry-friendly bill has been introduced in the US House of Representatives says that the FCC does not need to perform any environmental review for Densified 4G and 5G and sWTF under the National Environmental Policy Act.

The FCC shall not be required to perform, and may not require any entity regulated by the Commission to perform, any review under such Act or division as a condition of permitting the placement and installation of a communications facility if the new facility —

• will be located within a public right-of-way; and

• is not more than 50 feet tall or 10 feet higher than any existing structure in the public right-of-way, whichever is higher;

• the placement and installation involve the expansion of the site of an existing facility not more than 30 feet in any direction.

People are questioning whether there is a relationship between the rollout of densified 4G/5G so-called "small" Wireless Telecommunications Facilities (sWTFs) and the number and severity of COVID-19 cases in various countries. Claims have been made that the highest number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 are in those places that deployed densified 4G/5G during the past rtwo years. I decided to look into the matter but found it difficult to get accurate and consistent data about densified 4G/5G installations globally, so I decided to narrow my range to the United States.

I eventually found which U.S. cities had some 5G coverage as of April 21, 2020 and compared those locations to COVID-19 statistics for April 22, 2020.

In the U.S. there were four major telecom providers (Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T) until Sprint and T-Mobile merged. They use different frequencies and currently coverage is patchy at best.

5G consists of three main categories of frequency bands that the Wireless industry has labeled as follows, to attempt to minimize the planned onslaught of pulsed, data-modulated, Radio-frequency Electromagnetic Microwave Radiation (RF-EMR) frequencies they are unleashing on the unsuspecting public

• Low-band: Sub 1 GHz (i.e. below 1 GHz);
• Mid-band: Sub 6 GHz (1 GHz and 6 GHz)
• High-band: (6 GHz to 300 GHz) — millimeter waves are those above 30 GHz

Attorney General William P. Barr issued the following statement:

“I applaud FCC Chairman Pai’s proposal to make available L-band spectrum, to be used together with C-band spectrum, for deployment of advanced wireless services, including 5G. As I said in my speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, swift FCC action on spectrum is imperative to allow for the deployment of 5G. This is essential if we are to keep our economic and technological leadership and avoid forfeiting it to Communist China. Freeing up L-band spectrum for use in tandem with the C-band, as the Chairman proposes, should greatly reduce the cost and time it will take to deploy 5G throughout the country and would be a major step toward preserving our economic future. I hope the full Commission moves forward quickly.”

Trudeau plan laws to punish citizens who spread misinformation about COVID-19

Legislation is being discussed to make what the government determines to be ‘disinformation’ a criminal offense.

A Canadian politician who wants a law that would punish anyone spreading “misinformation” about the coronavirus online has the backing of a politician who said “extraordinary times require extraordinary measures.” Canadian Privy Council president Dominic LeBlanc was quoted in a CBC report as saying he is interested in drafting legislation that would make it a criminal offense in Canada to “spread misinformation” regarding the coronavirus that could “harm people.”

NDP MP Charlie Angus said in the CBC report that he fully backs any legislation that would punish “people who are actually actively working to spread disinformation.”

"I think it would be reasonable to enact with the RCMP, with our security officials and some public officials, a team to monitor disinformation and have the power to shut it down so it does not interfere with the efforts of our front-line medical workers," Angus said in the CBC report.

The Privy Council works closely with the prime minister and cabinet to implement “its vision, goals, and decisions in a timely manner.” LeBlanc told the CBC that he has an interest in a similar law to stop “disinformation” in the United Kingdom that’s being advocated by British MP Damian Collins.

Collins has called for stiff punishment of those who “knowingly, willingly and at scale and maliciously spread this content.” He wants laws in place in the UK combating online disinformation potentially built around German online hate speech laws.

Angus is a supporter of a website launched by Collins called “Infotagion,” which is a site that “seeks to fight the disinformation contagion about COVID-19” using “trusted and official sources, like public health services and the World Health Organisation (WHO).” [ Really? Those are the trusted sources?]

Collins’ site, which claims to be independent, has the support of another Canadian MP, Liberal Nate Erskine.

Recently, the WHO’s credibility has come into question, with U.S. President Donald Trump yesterday telling his administration to halt funding to the organization. Trump said the WHO failed to do its “basic duty” to ensure that “accurate information about international health” was shared quickly with other nations.

Abstract

This article identifies adverse effects of non-ionizing non-visible radiation (hereafter called wireless radiation) reported in the premier biomedical literature. It emphasizes that most of the laboratory experiments conducted to date are not designed to identify the more severe adverse effects reflective of the real-life operating environment in which wireless radiation systems operate. Many experiments do not include pulsing and modulation of the carrier signal. The vast majority do not account for synergistic adverse effects of other toxic stimuli (such as chemical and biological) acting in concert with the wireless radiation.
